Shop the World Gifts - A Fair Trade ministry that fights world poverty and hunger.
About Us

As the two of us were struggling with the "what are we going to do when we grow up" question, we were torn between starting a business, with which both of us have years of experience, and starting a ministry. We have been heavily involved in our church, the Salvation Army Angel Tree and our local food ministry so our hearts leaned heavily toward a ministry.

Our favorite scripture, Matthew 25, instructs us to serve "the least of these" so putting everything together we launched
Shop the World Gifts, a Fair Trade ministry.

Shop the World Gifts is a Fair Trade gift shop that is fighting world poverty by bringing together thousands of poor, but very talented artisans with people who will appreciate their works. Our merchandise comes to us through missionaries and several fair trade organizations from the largest to the smallest ones.

Our physical store opened in 2006 and is located in Englewood, Tennessee, but our "rolling store" has no boundaries as we go to churches wherever we are invited to do a "Fair Trade Festival".

We would love to come to your church or organization with our informative program where we show what "the least of these" have produced, and give your congregation or group members an opportunity to "gift shop" while serving wonderful people who need our help.

In His love and service,

Bill and Joan Cochran
